The lights of Makarska's Christmas town were lit yesterday in front of several thousand visitors and in a great atmosphere with socializing, drinks and a concert by our pop star Nina Badric, who began her performance with a series of events that will last until the first days of January 2020. Shortly after 5pm, the Deputy Mayor of Makarska Drazen Nemcic and the Director of the Makarska Tourist Board Hloverka Novak Srzic came to the stage of the Christmas City, thanking everyone who participated in the project of lighting the Christmas City and the whole complicated reunion business, especially Ivan Rosa and his wife Zrinka, and company Elektro Makarska. Why they were thanked a few moments later, when the whole plateau, together with Fr. Jure Radic's park, shone with the power of, say, several hundred thousand lights. While the introductory part of the program belonged to the clown Sarenko and the children's party with the Snow Kingdom, the central part of the program started from 6 pm when Nina Badric, accompanied by her band, took the stage.
- I think the beginning was fantastic. Both the City and the Tourist Board did their best, what I could see for myself was that people were delighted with how this Christmas City looks like this year. I believe that for our city this is also a great and high quality presentation, and there is no doubt that we have done a good job - says Deputy Mayor Nemčić.
-I really believe that our fellow citizens, along with all the guests who spend part of the holidays in Makarska, will be pleased, because we have done everything to offer them the richest program so far. I believe that footage and photos from the opening, many who do not live in Makarska, will be a reason to visit our Christmas town in the coming days, and I would take another opportunity to invite all our fellow citizens to join us - Hloverka will add Novak Srzić.
