Baška Voda

The place of laborers, fishermen, merchants and sailors grew to be the leading small tourist resort on the Makarska Riviera.

Situated in the central part of the Adriatic, the Basša Voda region includes Promajna, Bratuš, Krvavica, Bast, Topići and Baška Voda itself. It is 50 kilometers away from Split, and is distinctly recognizable by Biokovo - a beautiful Nature Park that rises above it as a faithful guardian. Clear sea and many, the most beautiful long Adriatic springs are the main characteristic of the coastal areas of the municipality.    
 

In those land sites, such as Bast or Topići, we can see old stone houses that present human life in the seaside burial caught under the tooth of time. Baška Voda is today a cultural, fun and tourist center not only for the municipality, but also for this part of the Adriatic. In recent decades, a number of private houses for tourism have been built in the town, and in the last fifteen years a number of modern flats have been built in Baška Voda.
